Roy Lee Howard

Roy Lee Howard, 71, passed away on Wednesday, August 18, 2021, at Rapides Regional Medical Center, in Alexandria, Louisiana.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Wednesday, August 25, 2021, at Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church, in Alexandria, Louisiana.
Public viewing and visitation will begin at 10 am with service beginning at 11 am.

Immediately following the service he will be taken to Garden of Memories Cemetery, in Alexandria, Louisiana, for final committal rights.

Roy Lee Howard departed this life on August 18, 2021. He was born January 13, 1950 to the late Wardell and Dorena Howard. Roy was reared in the church and accepted God at an early age. He graduated from Peabody High school and served in the United States Army from September 9, 1969 to September 8, 1975. Roy worked for L&I Industry and Acute Industry and the City of Alexandria. Roy was preceded in death by his parents, two nieces, Latricia and Senita Howard, brother, Wardell Simon, step-grandson, JaQuan Boynton, and nephew, Bentley Elie.

Roy married Belinda on February 14, 2004 and gained three step-kids, Joanna, Shaquanna, Pionisio and nine step-grandkids and one godson.

Roy leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Belinda, nine siblings; Willie (Theresa), Glenda (Jessie), Gloria, Joe, Oscar, Barbara (Randy), Mary (Thomas), Ronney (Renee) and Linda and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
