If we live, we live for the Lord; and if we die, we die for the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord. Romans 14:8
Mr. Ronald "Ronnie" Dancy was born in Pineville, Louisiana, on May 28, 1954, to the late Cora Maggie Bernard. He was adopted and raised by his adoptive parents Mr. Rayfield & Mrs. Rebecca Dancy. He was baptized at a young age at First Evergreen Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor W.L. Jones of Alexandria, Louisiana. He became a member later of Pilgrim Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Tom Hamilton of Alexandria, Louisiana. He remained a faithful member until his health began to decline. Ronnie worked for TXI Concrete for 30 years until he retired. He was very kind-hearted, outspoken, loving, caring and left an everlasting impression on everyone he encountered.
Ronald (aka Ronnie) was known throughout Alexandria, Louisiana. He brought so much love and laughter to so many people. He had one of the biggest hearts ever that made it easy to love him. People could always depend on Ronnie whenever needed. Most of all, he loved his siblings, daughters, family, and friends. He was extremely proud of the women his daughters became and would always show and tell them often.
He was preceded in death by his biological mother Cora Maggie Bernard, adoptive parents Mr. & Mrs. Rayfield Dancy and sister Barbara Ester.
