The Life and Legacy of Robert Earl Price
July 9, 1961 – September 28, 2026

Robert Earl Price, affectionately known by family and friends as “Sob,” was born on July 9, 1961, to the late Arthur Price, Sr. and Margaret Price. He was blessed with 65 years of life before departing this earthly life on Monday, September 28, 2026, in Alexandria, Louisiana.

Robert was educated in the Rapides Parish School System and attended Peabody High School. Throughout his life, he was known for his quiet nature, friendly personality, and wonderful sense of humor. Though he may not have always been the loudest person in the room, Robert had a way of making those around him smile and feel welcomed.

Robert had a natural gift and passion for working with his hands, especially when it came to automobiles. He enjoyed working on cars and turned that talent into his livelihood as a self-employed mechanic. He continued working for himself until his health no longer allowed him to do so.

To those who knew him, Robert was more than a mechanic or a familiar face—he was a friend to all. Proud of where he came from and the community that helped shape him, Robert was truly “A Valley Boy.” His easygoing spirit, humor, and friendship will remain treasured memories among his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing “Sob.”

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Margaret Price and Arthur Price, Sr.; one brother, Kenneth Price; and two sisters, Lisa Price and Iris Monique Price.

Left to cherish his memory are his sisters, Debra Price McQuarn of Pineville, Louisiana; Patricia Price Ivory of Indianapolis, Indiana; Cynthia Price Pryor of Alexandria, Louisiana; and Anne Price Vault (Benny) of Alexandria, Louisiana; his brothers, Arthur Price, Jr. (Vicki) of Alexandria, Louisiana; Charles Price, Sr. of Alexandria, Louisiana; and Darrell Price, Sr. (Wanda) of Alexandria, Louisiana; along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, relatives, and many friends.

A Celebration of Life honoring Robert Earl Price will be held on Friday, October 9, 2026, at 12:00 Noon at First Evening Star Baptist Church, 6511 Bayou Rapides Road, Alexandria, Louisiana 71303.

Public Viewing & Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 Noon, immediately preceding the service.

Following the celebration, Robert will be laid to rest in the First Evening Star Baptist Church Cemetery.

Robert Earl Price—“Sob”—will be remembered for his quiet spirit, friendly heart, humor, love for working on cars, and the genuine friendship he extended to so many. A true Valley Boy, his memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
