Ramona was called from earth to glory on Friday, April 14, 2023. She was surrounded by her loving family. She transitioned peacefully at home.

With her loving family, Ramona moved to Alexandria, Louisiana. Ramona accepted Christ at an early age at The Augustana Lutheran Church with Pastor Eugene Burger presiding. She worked faithfully in the church. Always there to lend a helping hand. She attended Peabody Magnet High School and was involved in several clubs: science and library. She was the head majorette for the high school band. She played the piano for the Glee Club, under the direction of her teacher, Willie Morrison. Ramona graduated from St. James Catholic School, in 1964. She was proud of her school and was a great student, receiving many awards. Ramona then attended The Trace School for Funeral Directors, as this became her career, a mortician. She worked in this function both in Alexandria and Lake Charles, Louisiana.

Ramona was blessed with a daughter, Joyce Darlene Moore. Joyce was born in Los Angeles, California. They then moved to Lake Charles, Louisiana, there she met and married the love of her life, her soul mate, James Albert Dixon, on November 17, 1972.
