Jacoby R. Moore

JaCoby Richard Moore was born to the late La'Shonda S. Franklin on February 5, 2005, in Alexandria, Louisiana. He was the second child out of two children.

Ja'Coby (Coby) was baptized at an early age by Rev. Ameal Jones, Sr. at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church.

Coby attended Arthur F. Smith Junior High where he was a star football player. He was presently a student at Peabody Magnet High School.

Coby as he was affectionally called, gained his wings on Sunday, May 16, 2021. In addition to his mother, Coby was preceded in death by his grandfather, Floyd Franklin, Sr; his great grandmother, Ruthie Jiles; his uncle, Albert Phillips and his aunt, Delores Jiles.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories, his loving and devoted grandmother, Theresa Philips Franklin and Elizabeth Williams; big sister and best friend, La'Daja Tyresia Franklin; two uncles, Floyd Franklin, Jr; and Kevin Franklin of Harris County, Texas; two devoted aunts, Sharon "Chelle" (Johnnie) Johnson and Volarie Monique (Walter "Tiger") James, Jr; his counsins/brothers, Ja'Marcus James, Walter James, III of Kuwait and Sheldon Franklin; his cousins/sisters, La'Nequa Jackson, Brittany (Keith) Gillam, Tajah James (Willie), Jasmine Franklin and Joh'Nay Johnson; two great aunts, Ethel (Joseph) Welch and Lynn Fields; one great uncle, Ronald Franklin; special friends, Amaya Williams and Tijah Foster; and a host of cousins, relatives and friends.

A public visitation will be held on Thursday, May 27, 2021, at Miller & Hill "The Funeral Directors" from 6 pm to 7 pm.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, May 28, 2021, at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, in Alexandria, Louisiana. Public viewing and visitation will begin 10 am with services beginning at 11 am.

Immediately following the services he will be taken to Garden of Memories Cemetery, in Alexandria, Louisiana, for final committal rights.
