Fredrick King

Fredrick DeWayne King was born on December 17, 1971 to Bobby and Delores King in Pineville, LA. Fredrick entered eternal rest on Tuesday, September 14, 2021 at Rapides Regional Medical Center. Fredrick was affectionately called "Wayne" by his family and "Big Fred" by his friends. Fredrick was indeed a family man who loved his nieces/nephews, cooking, sports, fishing, hunting and Reggae.

At age seventeen, Fred left home to attend Job Corps, where he achieved a certification as an accountant. These career skills afforded him opportunities to enhance his work ethics at such a young age. Upon returning home, he attended Louisiana Business College where he received additional training in math and computer sciences. In 1993, Fred moved to Minneapolis, Minnesota to spend time with his father while working as a District Manager for KFC. After returning home, he obtained employment with Walmart Supercenter where he was a faithful employee for over twenty years.

From birth, Fred was a devoted member of Woodside Church of God in Christ under the leadership of his grandfather, Supt. Robert Price Jr. At an early age, he accepted Christ and served in many aspects throughout church until his death.

Fred is preceded in death by his father, Bobby King, maternal grandmother, Missionary Delores Price, and nephew, Michael Sewell Jr. He leaves to cherish his memories: his son Julian King of Los Angeles; mother and maternal grandfather, Willie Delores King and Supt. Robert Price Jr. both of Alexandria, LA; three sisters, Carol Mickens (Jimmy) of Monroe, LA, Kimberlee Price of Little Elm, TX, and Michelle Aaron (Eric) of Alexandria, LA; 1 brother, Jamal Franklin of Alexandria, LA; 2 nieces, Ericka Coleman and Amarii Aaron of Alexandria, LA; 2 nephews, Joshua Sewell (Chantinae) of Monroe, LA, Bentlee Aaron of Alexandria, LA; best friend, Cedric Gentle of Alexandria, LA; and a host of aunts, uncles, great nieces/nephews, cousins and friends.
