Fannie Ruth Wilson Obituary (1947

John 14:1-4 "Do not let your hearts be troubled: You believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if that were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there you may be also. Where I go, you know, and you know the way." Fannie Ruth was born September 2, 1947 to the late Lessie B. Crittle and Wilmer Wilson, Sr. She was baptized at an early age by Rev. Joe Buckner, Sr. at China Grove Baptist Church in Alexandria, La. Fannie graduated from Peabody High School in 1965. After graduation she went to work for Lawyer Berry as his secretary. She joined the National Guard in 1973 at Camp Beauregard and served over 20 years until she retired. Other than serving her country, Fannie became a real estate agent, Notary Public, cancer screening spokesperson and Commissioner in charge of elections. She was always involved in Church. She was the Superintendent of Sunday School at St. Matthew's Baptist Church. Fannie was many things to many people, Mother, Sister, Aunt, Confidant, Lawyer (would fight for you), Prayer Warrior, Volunteer, Chauffeur (would drive you anywhere), teacher, student, and so much more!! The lord handpicked Fannie Ruth on April 18, 2023, to come home. She will be greeted at Heaven's Gates by both her parents Lessie B. Crittle and Wilmer Wilson, Sr., and her 5 brothers Floyd Earl Wilson, James 'Tennie" Wilson, Randy Wilson, Wilmer Wilson, Jr, and Joseph Wilson Sr. Those left to celebrate her homegoing and cherish her memories are, her loving son Errol D. Wilson (Roya) of Dallas, Tx, granddaughter Erriol Wilson and great granddaughter Elayana Chanel Bailey of Dallas, Tx, brother Percy Norman (Idell) of Alexandria, La, sister Dorothy W. Emery of Chino, Ca, sister-n-laws Linda Wilson, Nancy Wilson, and Peggy Wilson, all of Alexandria, La, two God Children Terrilesha Landers of Alexandria, La and Jerome Wilson of Norfolk, Ne, special daughter Theresa Jackson-Wilson of Dallas, Tx, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
