The Life and Legacy of Ethel Mae Price

Ethel Mae Price was born Ethel Mae Evans on March 13, 1945, in Natchitoches, Louisiana, to the late Royal and Elnora Evans. Her life was one rooted in faith, family, love, and service. The legacy she leaves behind will continue through future generations.

Ethel accepted Christ at an early age and remained devoted to her faith throughout her life. In 1975, she united with Mount Triumph Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Joseph Franklin. There, she faithfully served as a Deaconess and sang in the Mass Choir. Her church family and her relationship with God were an important part of her life, and she remained a faithful member until her health no longer allowed her to attend as she once faithfully did.

Ethel was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, aunt, godmother, and friend. She was blessed with eight children and poured her love, strength, wisdom, and guidance into her family.

She found great joy in cooking and spending time with the people she loved. Preparing meals was one of the many ways she showed her love. Family gatherings, laughter, conversation, celebrations, and simply having her loved ones close brought her happiness. Her presence helped make ordinary moments feel special, and the memories created around her table and in her home will forever be cherished.

Ethel’s greatest legacy can be seen in the generations she leaves behind. She leaves to cherish her precious memory her seven children: Brenda Price, Roy Price, Sr. (Latricia), Mack Price, Jr., Lonnie Price, Sr. (Lucretia), Mary Price-Williams (Marvan-Deceased), Rickey Price, Sr. (Karen), and Elnora Kyles (Boston).

She also leaves behind 36 grandchildren, 63 great-grandchildren, and nine great-great-grandchildren.
