Devrick Demond Glasper Obituary (1983 - 2021)

Devrick Glasper was born on August 3, 1983 in Pineville, Louisiana to Elisa Glasper and Melvin Gatson, Sr. He was raised in Alexandria, Louisiana and attended formal education in the Rapides Parish School System. He attended Bolton High School. Devrick was very active and enjoyed boxing and basketball. Devrick is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Willie Lee Glasper, Jr. and Betty Pearl Glasper. Devrick leaves to cherish his memories: Parents Elisa Glasper Jones and Melvin Gatson, Sr. Three children, Daija E'Mond Glasper, age 10, Ja'Cori Slaughter, age 12, and Jaylin Slaughter, age 9; His siblings, LaDaytra Glasper Blount of Baton Rouge, LA, Whitney Dorty, Raheem Landers Gatson, Isaiah Gatson, Melvin Gatson, Jr., and Lamont Gatson. Also, a host of nieces, nephews, Cousins other relatives and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, January 15, 2021, at Second Nazarene Missionary Baptist Church.
