Obituary

Barbara Jean Davis was born to June Davis, Jr. and Natalie Smith Franklin Davis, March 23,
1937, in Pineville, Louisiana. She departed her life August 5, 2023.

Barbara received her diploma from Wettermark High School in Boyce, Louisiana. Barbara
served as a candy-striper at CHRISTUS St. Francis Cabrini Hospital and worked many years in
the housekeeping industry around Alexandria, Louisiana.

Barbara accepted the Lord as her personal savior and became a member of Second Nazarene
Baptist Church. She attended and participated as much as her health allowed her and was one of
the oldest members of the church. Barbara was a caregiver to her heart; she loved taking care of
others.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Charles Ray Davis and Allen Davis;
and sisters, Willie V. Taylor and Shirley Mae Vinson.

Barbara leaves to cherish her memories, three sons, Nicholas Wayne Davis, Micheal Gerold
Davis, and Jackie Ray Davis; one daughter, Tammy Jean Davis; and three granddaughters, Tarshia Hunter,
and Shawndreaka King, and Elisa Davis. Along with numerous nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
